Bob was looking for a change, and to change. Becoming a Knight helped him find what he was looking for.
I reverted to the Faith in 2021, and I was looking for ways to put my new life in Christ to good use. Finding community with like-minded individuals was something I was looking for and not finding in my post-college years, and I certainly was not finding it in social media or in the temporal things of this world. Sadly, I think an increasing number of young adults are experiencing this same thing in today’s modern secular culture. I needed a change, and I needed to change. Our Blessed Lord provided both. All glory and power and praise be to Him, the Only Wise King. When I was growing up, the Knights of Columbus seemed something foreign and far-distant, an organization that was mentioned every now and then but did not amount to much in the grand scheme of things. Being up close and personal to and looking deeply into the efforts and history of the Knights, I can honestly and honorably say that the Knights live up to the title of “Strong Right Arm of the Catholic Church.” Me and the over seventy Brother Knights of Council 17887 are part of a global movement of over two million Catholic men who dare to take the lead in spreading the Good News in the practice of the virtues of our order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Dare to join.
